Why being Fair Tax Accredited matters to us (and to you)

When you hire a company, you expect them to do the right thing, not just when fixing a squeaky floorboard or sorting a snag list, but behind the scenes too. That’s where being Fair Tax Accredited comes in. It means we’re open, honest, and fully compliant with UK tax rules. Simple as that.
At SqueakFix, we’ve always paid our fair share. But we wanted a way to prove that to our clients, not just say it. So when we discovered the Fair Tax Foundation, we knew it was the right fit. They carry out a thorough audit of a company’s financials, checking back over the last four years. It’s detailed, independent, and leaves no room for shortcuts.
No tricks, no loopholes
We’re proud to say the accreditation process was smooth. Why? Because we’ve never had a late payment, penalty, or any issues with our accounts. We run a tight ship, and always have.
Some companies bend the rules to hang onto more profit. We think that’s bad for clients, bad for business, and bad for society. We believe when a business gets the basics right, like paying the right tax on time, it’s a good sign they’ll do a great job in your home too.
Tax is part of the bigger picture
Let’s be honest: the last few years have been tough for everyone. From the pandemic to the cost of living crisis, we’ve all felt the pressure. So we think it’s only fair that businesses like ours contribute properly to the system we all rely on.
That’s why we’re making our tax information public. From now on, you’ll find a link at the bottom of every page on our website called ‘Fair Tax Mark Statement and Disclosure’. There you can see exactly what we’ve paid, along with our current tax policy.
Trust starts with transparency
We’re not trying to sound self-righteous. But we do want you to know you’re working with a company that’s straight-talking, well-managed, and doing things the right way.
Whether we’re fixing floors or handling our finances, we believe in being accountable. And thanks to our Fair Tax Accredited status, you don’t have to just take our word for it.
